1990 2wd lifted finally
I was asked why I would want to lift a 2wd, and not just get a 4x4. Well, I already had a 2wd, and i didn't NEED a 4x4 for the off road driving I do. I race MTB, and go rock climbing and hiking in areas where a good driver and good ground clearance are all thats needed. AND I wanted to build the truck for 1500.00 or less. I put together a body lift and suspension lift (nothing made for a 2wd), some used wheels and 31" tires for a total of 520.00. I still have 980.00 to spend on the rest of the truck. Oh, and i picked up the truck in a trade for an old dirtbike,.. runs great, and paint is next. Who needs a 4x4....
Cool, ya lets see some pictures.
What did you do?
How much lift did you get?
When my truck was 2wd I did a 2in body lift and 2in coil spacers with Ram 2500 leaf springs = 4in lift for under $200, easy bolt on parts. Could fit 31's up front and 33's out back.
