EGR Delete
I installed a set of shorty headers on my 5.2 and plugged off the EGR tube that goes to the stock manifolds. I left the EGR valve on the intake and left the electrical connector hooked up. Today the check engine light came on and it set the code 32. This is the first time since I installed the headers that it has set the EGR code. Is there a way to fool the computer into thinking the EGR valve is working properly? Can you splice in a resister into the wiring or something like that? Any info will help. Thanks guys
I doubt it. If the computer looks for an rpm change or a change in the O2 signal after the EGR is opened then you're not going to be able to fool it. I'm interested to see if there is a "fix" for this.
