The little green bushings on the wiper linkage may be worn out. Just a little bit of play turns into about an inch of play at the end of the wiper. Either buy new bushings or just get the whole linkage assembly from a truck in the junk yard. Both choices cost less than $5, but it takes about 5 minutes to get the linkage out of the truck vs about 30 minutes to do the bushings.

heavy, I just replaced the nylon bushings on mine. You have to remove the wipers, lift hood take off rubber seal on metal thingamabob, remove phillips screws on metal, remove the metal shield (same thing as thingamajig), then you can get to the wiper mechanism. Finding the nylon bushings for my '93 was not easy, Advance had some, but only two of them worked for me.

Let us know how it goes.

It could also be that the wiper arm slipped on the splines where the arm attaches to the post that rotates (don't know what it's called). You can try to shut the ignition off while the wipers are all the way up, then take the arm off the post and move it to where it should be and reattach the arm to the post. See what happens, it is a lot less work than replacing the bushings.

Yeah, RT, that's what I thought mine was, but no, couldn't be that easy for me!

hahaha, yeah that's the way everything usually goes for me as well. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
