Default A Parking Brake cable ?

The parking brake foot pedal broke where it pivots. I've taken the old pedal out, disconnected the cable & electrical wire indicating the brake is on. Got a new pedal from a salvage yard and can not pull the cable out enough to get it to slide into it's hanger/holder/bracket. Do I have to take some part of the cable apart along the frame under the truck? If so, how much of a PITA will it be to reconnect that after I get things connected under the dash? Whats the right way to start and finish this job so it'll pass inspection? Thank you in advance.

Loosen the threaded adjuster under the truck until you can pull the cable out far enough. Then, just tighten it back up.

Holy Crap, that's about as easy as it could be. Thanks again
