Default 93 Dakota wont fire up!

It worked fine when I parked it yesterday. Today it cranks fine but wont fire up. I checked the coil and it not putting out anything so I replaced it. Still wouldn't fire, checked and found no current to the coil, so I replaced the Crank Position Sensor, but it still has no current to the coil. Wadaya think?

Possibly the notorious power splice. Do you have fuel pressure? Check the FAQ in this section for a write up.

i'd have to agree with crazy4x4 on this one ,,those splices have proably been the demise of more daks in the early 90's range than anything else ,,i know i've redid mine twice now ,,i usually cut the splice out ,,strip the wires back and clean the wires with sandpaper and resolder them together ,,hardest part about the job is unwrapping them ,,and finding "ALL" of them ! if it drives one day and then quits the next ..thats the direction i'd go before i spent any cash trying a hit+ miss fix ..

It was the Cam Position pick-up in the distributor. I had to replace the distributor to get the new electronics(all there is inside is a half circle metal cup, and the pickup)so I went to O'Reilly. $80. Fired right up. I'll keep the splice info in mind. So far, so good. I'm in SoCal. $30 coil + $50 Crank Pos Sensor. $160 total, w new parts. Coulda been worse.
