Exclamation Parking lights, console lights and right turn signal problems.

Recently I found out my headlights and/or parking lights would randomly go out on me while driving. I decided to check the headlamp switch and 9-wire pigtail harness. When I pulled the harness out to check the wires they were spliced with duct tape at one place and spliced with the plastic connectors at another spot. Some of the plastic connectors were melted. I replaced both the headlamp switch and wiring harness. When I went to test the lights, the only thing I have now is headlights and the internal dome light. Everything else works, fourway lights, left turn signal, brake lights.

I think the right turn signal may be another problem not related to his.

I was wondering if there is a way I can find out what each of those (9) wires go to so I check the connection?

I'm a newbie at this so pictures are the best. Hoping I can figure this electric out on my own before taking it to garage.

The FAQ in this section has the factory service manual which has the wiring diagrams and pinouts for the connectors. That will be your best choice for figuring out someones else's mess.
