Default 93 Dakota 318 FI to Carb

My ECM burnt up again and I really don't want to replace it again. I was thinking about removing the FI and and going to a carburetor/manifold and a hei or points distributor on top of a complete rewire of the electrical system. Will any 318 manifold and distributor work?

If your burning up PCM's then you have a problem with the wiring.

No it is not as simple as drop on a stock intake and carb. These motors did not come with carbs.

The heads are also different, so a stock 318 carb manifold will not bolt on. Although I think you can buy an aftermarket manifold that fits magnum heads and accepts a carb... but at that point you might as well get another ECM and save some money and work.
