Default broken steering column/no lights

I let my brother borrow my Dakota a couple weeks ago and ever since I've had a few issues all of which I'm assuming are attributed to something broken in the steering column?

1. I no longer need to press the brake to shift out of park.
2. Shift indicator is way off, Park is now right in the middle and I can't shift past the 2 which is now where Drive engages.
3. Reverse lights don't work.
4. Left and right turn signals don't work from the selector. 4 way flashers still work, but signalling doesn't. The light comes on but it's solid instead of blinking, if I have the 4 ways on both still flash. This problem was intermittent til the last couple of days and is now constant.

There is a gear selector switch in there. It needs replacement. But take off the plastic and make sure that is the deal. Just looking under there you may spot a different issue.
