Default 92 dakota 3.9 possible vacuum issue

guys i had a plugged port on my egr it was the top vacuum line looked as if it had rust in it i scraped the tube out and put it back on and it got rid of my map sensor code and my egr code but the truck still does not idle I need help finding this problem it sucks alot of air into the top of the TB where the IAC sits i think that may have something to do with it and it is now not throwing any codes.

Today i removed the lines from my egr and unplugged the transmitter or whatever that is called the disc shaped piece with 3 vacuum lines and a electric plug anyhow when doing this is idleing but not perfect still idles till it decided to rev and die throws a map sensor code now before i took that off it had no codes still stalling when i stop any ideas would help me out so im not just buying parts i think it might be a combination of the IAC and the EGR being bad any other ideas?

I'd suggest looking through the service manual's flowchart or whatever diagnostic info that's in there.

But first thing I would do is get a vacuum gauge and make sure it has ample vacuum and then listen around and jiggle hoses for leaks. Take a propane torch (do not light it, and just let crack the valve a little bit so propane will dribble out) and wave it around the intake manifold. If engine speed increases or changes in any way, then you have a leak in the intake manifold. I would guess that you intake is cracked or the gasket has rotted or something as I read a lot about bad intakes on this forum.

yea my dad did that but not with butane he used a can of carb cleaner and it didnt do anything until he sprayed it back toward the egr and it caught fire for a sec. what im trying to figure out is if its supposed to suck air so hard and loud through where the IAC is the area above the IAC on top of the TB. or if this whistling shows an issue with that part as well. I dont have my dad to help me anymore hes in the hospital he had a heart attack last night so im trying to figure this out on my own.

your iac could be bad. the first thing i would do is remove the iac and clean the port out and replace the iac and see if that changes anything.
