Default Alternator change out

Question for the tech minded: I have a 95 Dakota 3.9 liter 5 speed. I am repairing the A/C system and am ready to change out the compressor. While I have everything apart I have an opportunity to upgrade my old 90 amp alternator for a four month old 120 amp alternator from my friends old Dak. Question: Do I need to upgrade the computer as well (as I understand the voltage regulator is in the computer) or will the stock computer/voltage regulator work okay with the 120 amp alternator?

Thanks!

Go for it, nothing will have to be replaced. Just bolt it in.

It's an easy bolt in, too... I just did it three times today.

(don't ask)
