Welded Diff?

Default Welded Diff?

Has any one ever heard or tried doing a poor mans posi? im tired of me getting stuck in spots just because my passenger wheel dont wana do any work. so has any one tried doing a welded diff? im not trying to do anything crazy with my truck just the beach and some back roads stuff. i could buy a lsd but i wanted to know if any one has any good results from a welded diff.

I've known people that have done it and as far a I know if you don't do constant hard acceleration from first it should hold fine

I have done a good version of it on my dragstrip only Trans Am. It is not good for any street use. Just get a locker or LSD (junk in my opinion). The Powertrax lock-right drops right in, easy install at a fair price around $300.

I welded my rear (witch is a 14Bolt Full Floater GM) n planning on welding the front (Dana 60) in the near futur only cause mine is a pure mud truck not a daily or anythin n barely drive on the road unless if im going for a cruise w the gf... the key is to weld the grooves not the spiders TOGETHER.. the two spiders that the axles slid into is all u need welded... but if it is raguraly driven on street buy a locker
