Default Strange Trans Issue, Will not engage any gear

I just dropped a 318 and 46rh into my 95 Dakota.. they came from a donor truck, the trans is a rebuilt jasper with under 10k on it. In the donor truck the trans would not engage any gear. No jerk no lurch when you selected a gear it would do nothing. Almost as if the shift selector was not attached.

i pulled the trans apart and everything appeared pristine. No mating, no dirt or metal shavings nothing. I had the Torque converter tested. it came back as working perfectly. so i replaced the pump and installed a TransGo reprogramming kit.

This morning i got everything buttoned up and went to put it in gear and nothing happened, Still the exact same symptom as before. Keep in mind it has a new pump and working TQ converter.. Anyone else have any ideas i can check?

Thanks

Also i checked through the trans troubleshooting FAQ and the only issue i can see that has not been resolved is the parking spur issue. however i do not know how to check that.. and with the torque converter coming back as working.. The only think i can think is to go pick up a new valve body from the junk yard and toss it in hoping it works.

Have you tried adjusting the TV cable? Maybe it's so outta wack it's protecting the tranny? Try replacing the shift module on the tranny with a junkyard unit maybe? Just throwing out suggestions as I have no idea what could be causing this. Any check engine codes? Definitely a weird problem, maybe someone with some more knowledge in this aspect will chime in soon

I tried the tv cabke.adjustmenth to no avail. I also did verify I have about 80psi at the cooler. At this point I have no clue.. I had it hauled off to a locak trusted trans shop in hopes they could figure it out. I assume it has to be something with the vb.. really there waa nothing else internally that looked like it had an issue. I will definitely keep everyone updated with reaults when I hear back from the trans shop
