Default modest exterior mods.

So this is nothing that hasn't been done before. Although I'm in the middle of doing a complete interior over haul I do want the outside to look good too.

So to help it look a little nicer in the easiest was possible I'm going to do a simple small lift. 2" coil spacers up front and one set of add-o-leafs out back for a even sitting look.

Found a set of 2nd gen wheels in a near by salvage yard for $200 one has some bad curb rash however I watched a vid on youtube of someone using bondo to fill in curb rash and sand a few times till it was hardly noticeable and will paint them a dark metallic grey (something close to gun metal grey). Then throw on a size taller tire keeping the stock width (after tons of time thinking about getting big tires it just seems pointless on a v6 2wd.)

Finally the person who owned the truck before me seems to have done a driveway paint job on it. I don't even think there is a clear coat because it will get a small scratch way to easily and will then flake bad all around it and the prep work was done horribly It had paint on the fenders and primer on the bumpers. Was able to get the primer off the bumpers with some carb cleaner. Also the lower color of the two tone is in great shape and obviously original. But behind the rear wheel well they painted over it and as I've been through some mud sand and gravel roads the green they painted over it has chipped and is showing the tan underneath. So I'm going to sand down all the original tan and do a textured bed liner spray in it's place The product I have chosen is paintable So I will try and color match the dark gray I will use on the wheels.

One of these days I will save up for a good paint job or maybe even have my dad help me do it. Can't be any worse than what is on it now. My dad is a professional painter and owns many compressors and cup guns. Painting is all in the prep work anyway. As long as a prep better than they did I'll be good.
