Default Gas in the Oil?

My truck 87 dakota, Was running ****ty as hell and was leaking gas, So I had to change out the accelerator pump. After that it was hard to get it started and was leaking oil, So I went to change it and it was filled with gas, What would make it do this?

my first bet is that the needle and seat are leaking. caused by dirt, or a bad float, or to much fuel pressure. my dad gave me a rule of thumb, "go back to the last thing worked on" and / or "check the easiest and cheapest thing first."

Carburetors don't normally lose their float height adjustment for no reason. Chances are, you have a leaking needle and seat, like moe said.

i just remembered an old trick. start the engine put a pair of pliers on the fuel hose. when the engine starts to fail release the pliers. this puts a surge of fuel to the needle and seat, and some times it will blow dirt off of the seat. OK here is an other trick, that cleans out the idle curcit. count the number of turns the idle screw is. then remove the screw and blow air in. then put the screw back in. this blows dirt out of idle curcit.
