need the speaker size---both front and rear.

Regular Cab & Club Cab, door 5.25" round, Rear 5x7"oval.There is a 1st gen. page set up by Crazy4X4, that is perfect for this type of question. FAQ General information for 1st gen trucks

FAQ General information for 1st gen trucks
Crazy's FAQ is well worth a look.

You can get shallow 6.5" speakers in the doors with a little effort, but 5.25 is the stock size. Rears are pretty difficult to change size.

Agreed, I just did mine and my friends, although if you really want, its actually pretty easy to mount ovals in the front as well. But you will have to fab a rain boot.
