my Dakota has been acting weird for awhile it wont go into over drive and i cant drive over 55mph or so cause then it just starts down shifting and i dont want to blow anything up. could this be related to the linkage needing to be adjusted? or maybe a speed sensor? also someone told me it could be the neutral safety switch as well? im running out of time and money and i need some help so any info would be great.

yea over drive is on i can get it to turn off and on so i think it might be the neutral safety switch or that transmission speed sensor but not to sure.
