3.9 v6 to a 5.9 Cummins?

Default 3.9 v6 to a 5.9 Cummins?

I was wondering if its possible to put a 5.9 Cummins into my 1991 dodge Dakota its got the 3.9 v6 rite now two wheel drive and I really wanna put the 5.9 in it but don't even no if its possible bcuz thats a big motor compared to my 3.9 so does anyone have any advice?

The engine alone is something like a thousand pounds.. I'm not sure what the 3.9 weighs but i'm guessing its much lighter. You would probably need so much beefier front suspension.

The next problem is the size engine with no tranny is about 40" long, 40" tall and 24" wide. then you put the huge tranny behind it and you might not have much cab space left.

If you get all of that to work you would need a new rear since the stock one won't stand up to that much torque for very long... and brakes, it could be hard to stop with stock brakes.

I would sure like to see it done though!
