So I replaced my alternator and was charging at 18v. So I replaced the vr and now am getting 15.1-14.99v at battery while running. I didnt run it long as I dont want to fry my battery. Ive read to possibly wire in a relay so it doesnt fry battery but what is the issue thats causing this? Thanks.

 

I just checked some things. My regulator with key on engine off is getting within .2v of battery voltage so I don't know what's goin on.
