That's interesting, I never saw that before. It's a good thing the whole shaft pulled out, the broken piece could have been a pain to get if it had remained in the engine. At least you should have plenty of junkyard distributors to choose from, so it shouldn't take you too long to get it running again for a reasonable price.

Is there a gear on that distributor shaft or does it just drop into the oil pump?
