If you put a flare on both ends of that tube and used good clamps you're fine. There is enough pressure there that without a bit of a flare on the tube, the hose can slip off. When I do this, I don't go for the double flare or even a full single flare because you'll have a hard time getting the hose on, but about a quarter to a third of a single flare on both sides (just enough so you can still jamb the hose over top with a little lubrication).
