Default nothing says mopar like honeycomb mesh grilles

After seeing pinkfloydefects mod to his grill with honey comb mesh from a second gen dodge ram I had my heart set on doing something similar to my grill although he has the old style front clip and me the new. Took me awhile to find a ram in junk yards around here that haven't been in front end collisions...and when I did find one that hasent it happen to catch on fire so only got half a grill done so far.

Anyway after I managed to find the half of a grill I decided instead of simply trimming up the mesh to fit behind the smaller dakota grill and zip tieing it to it I wanted to make inserts.

Here is my end result I will show pics of the process I took when I find another half grill

I've been thinking about it. I just haven't seen one black on a dark green dak with chrome front/rear bumpers.

Yeah it does. The slats that are factory just look cheap in my opinion.

Wow only living thing that has hit my grill was a frog at like 55mph. Which I guess didn't have enough mass to do anything. Left a nice splat mark though.
