I plan to install MSD 6A ignition in my 95 Dakota, 3.9L V6. There is MSD box P/N 6200, which dealer suggested, and there is P/N 6246 which is marked "odd fire V6 only". As far as I know, Dakota V6 is odd fire engine (not sure though..). Dealer called MSD but they didn't know either which P/N will fit my engine. Anybody installed MDS ignition in V6?

 

Look under the distribitor cap to see if the pins are evenly spaced . Or are they unevenly spaced ,or are the pins extened with strips
