Exclamation 1990 Dakota Fuel pump cap replacement?

I'm attempting to find a new cap for the fuel tank of my 1990 Dakota to get it to pass CA smog. I can't for the life of me find one, and my current one is all cracked and pretty close to beyond repair.

See the photos for the piece I'm talking about -- it's the plastic cap that all the hoses connect into. Parts catalogs (rockauto, etc) don't show a replacement and it looks like the design changed in 1990 to a unit that comes with the housing.

Any ideas?

I believe its one whole piece with the pump. Would have to replace the entire unit. Glad I don't have inspections in florida.

1991+ looks like one unit. The 1990 listings show this image:

If they sell the units separate and you cant find a listing for a cap(weird) then your best bet would probably be a boneyard. Someone more qualified than me might know better though.

Then I would say look in a junk yard or try and see if a part # is stamped on it. Have you checked with a dealer?

I'm pretty sure you can find it here. I don;t know the details about your rig so I searched close to it. You can insert the details and know better what you want.

If you can seal up the cracks and make it stop leaking, it will pass. If you can't do that, the cheapest option is a junkyard (I'd probably take the whole tank to be sure you don't break something installing or uninstalling the pump module). The best way, of course, is to buy a new fuel pump module and install it. That will also give you the peace of mind that your fuel pump should last for a long time.
