Default Turbo400 GM transmission

Has anyone ever heard of running a T400 behind their 318 magnum in their Dakota or Ram???

I've never heard of anybody doing it. I'm pretty sure you'd have to make your own custom adapter, since Chrysler engines aren't exactly well-represented in the adapter world. Novak and Advance Adapters don't list anything. You might be able to get a whole bellhousing, but it would be expensive. Not really worth the cost or effort, IMO.

*EDIT*
Here you go
Super Hydra 400 case - $1599
Small block Mopar bellhousing - $359

So, it can be done, but I still don't know of anybody who has.

Thanks tom! I the reason behind wanting to run a t400 is cause there stronger than the 727s n I'm eventually going to run a ls engine in my mudder.

I used to know a guy who did it. He told me it was awesome but for the price he said it was cheaper to build a heavy duty a518 or 727. In your case the adapter is the better way to go. But since your swapping in a gm motor you might as well save the money and do the motor swap at the same time
