Default Help with 94 dodge dakota

I just bought this truck and in front of the motor there is a small rattling noise, I was told its coming from the timing chain area. Is it safe to drive with it rattling like that? Repairs cost over $400 I don't have the money just yet, I just need to know if its ok to drive it like that for a little while

Most likely the timing chain, I drove mine for a while like that, but it just gets annoying hearing it. Its not a hard job just takes some time, and make sure you have the timing marks set before removing and installing. I spent a total of about 110 bucks plus my fluids, I got the chain and tensioner from autozone.
