The M1 is for higher performance applications, on a stock to slightly stock engine you will not see any HP gains. Plus for $500-600 there is more you can do with that money to make it go faster.

If I were you just go a kegger mod for now plus an aluminum plenum pan. Also get a larger bore throttle body.

For the TB I got mine off of Ebay it was 53mm, but I have a 5.9 with mild performance parts.

For a 5.2 i would say the 50mm
Fastman also says 50mm for the 5.2 http://www.thefastman.com/throttlebodies5x.php
Here is a 50mm http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-04-Dodge-RAM-Dakota-RT-bored-ported-50mm-t-body-V8-/230426190438?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35a678a266&vxp=mtr
As for the kegger here is a DIY

TBH I noticed hp gains right away when I did my M1, to me its worth every penny considering the cost of a hughes plate and the time and effort for little to no pay off with the kegger mod. It especially shines with the bg performance tuning specifically made for the M1. Just remember its for higher RPM is all.
