Hi Brian in Tucson,

If you read my first post, if I make the car up to V8 spec I can get the car modification approved. We do have emission laws, but they're not very strict. Even the exhaust catalytics wasn't required before '89, which makes my '88 clear those rules. We also have to pass a technical inspection every two years. For the engine upgrade I'm doing to this car there will be a separate technical inspection focusing on the parts that has been replaced/upgraded.

What we do have is taxes based on emissions, which makes US cars expensive to import to Norway.

1 liter of 95 octane (equal to yours 91) is $2.5, or $9.45 per gallon. Compared to what money we make, it's not that bad.

That's PRETTY!!!

Or as I'd actually say it,

"Dat's PURDY!"

I wish you the best of luck on that.

I'll add that THAT motor isn't a Magnum - it's got shaft mounted rocker arms, not stud mounted. Or at least, it's LA heads on it.

Engine is up and running, no leaks!

The wiring harness is almost complete (Painless Performance, universal):

So, the OEM radiator still fits! I have about 3/8" clearance between the water pump bolt and radiator. When I installed the motor, I put it in roughly 3/4" more to the rear.

Still have to finish the electrical and reinstall the interior.

Hey, that's a nice looking engine bay! Everything looks super clean!

You've obviously put some time in on it. Keep us posted. I'm about at the same point you are with my '89 4WD and 5.2 transplant, some I'm very interested in what you're doing.

Update.

Electrical is pretty much finished, and the car is up and running.

Had the car at the dyno. 330BHP and 370ft-lb.

Results are shown in both WHP and est. flywheel HP. Torque values are in Newtonmeters.
