if the rims you are getting are 15X8 235/75/15 is fine just if you run to low on air you might blow the bead seal that's about it.. im running 265/70/17 in 9 inch wide rims that tires specify 8 max....

if they are infact 15X8 with a 5.5 backspace you will need a file and have to file down the brake line bolt on the caliper a bit to clear the rim without rubbing, and I do mean like 1/4 inch on the upper side of caliper bolt edge on that hose bolt.. if it has a backspace of 5 inches 4.75 4.5 4.25 inches or less you might not have to

only way to avoid that is wheel spacer/adapter at first I didn't and had to file one side down otherside was fine but urs may vary but rubbing is definite so test fit first.. back side was fin no issues just up front with that bolt on caliper flex line

after the fact I added wider tire so I added 1.5 inch adapter spacers and it clears it perfectly then

Don't know if the Durangos had different backspacing with that same rim. I read that the back spacing stock is 5.5, so i most likely will have to file the bolt down. After filing down the bolt, no other rubbing will occur right? Will filing it make it more difficult to do maintenance on the brakes? Will it disrupt the functionality or longevity of the brakes/parts?

Will the new 15x8 rims/tires stick out the same as my stock ones currently? Did you space the back tires without spacing the fronts because the fronts stick out more than the rears? Just a bit worried it will look weird

filing is minimal and its on the head of the flex line copper bolt on caliper it not much and bolt still comes off easy afterwards.. I found no ill effects.

Tires will stick out a bit more since rim is wider , my stock 92 aluminum rims were 6 wide and 4.5 backspace so backspace for 8 is 5.5 so its still centered but puts tire in 1 inch and out one inch.

I put 1.5 inch spacers front and rear .. my front stuck out like 4 inches from flares and rear like 3 inches with 14 wides , pic don't show justice but give idea Spacers were added to get turning radius back due to frame rub

wow, the truck looks beastly compared to the stock photos. hahah. Thanks a lot man. I think my setup will be just fine. We shall see within the next week when I get some tires on it. Ill test the rub tomorrow when I get back and file everything down for when i get some tires.

Again, Thanks 92Dakota, I appreciate all the help and info.

Ill take some photos and update my post in Members Rides.

check the back 2 plugs.. #8 if its wet or oily or hell plugs might just be to old ... or gas is bad in it or so on.. try some seafoam ?

with 19k on it its hard to say the issue only thing i can think of is check those back 2 spark plugs on passenger side..

popping is an indication of misfire or crossfire or timing, bad spark plug ect...

anyway Nice truck, sure dosent show it age atall look cleaner then my 2008 vehicle
Sooo… I pulled the plugs, they were replaced by the previous owner. They are Autolite 3924, which I have read are the correct OEM heat range. The plugs were spotless, clean as a whistle.

I took apart the throttle body again and looked down to see if there was any oil. The picture below shows how it looks. There was a small pool of oil, maybe the size of a quarter near the back of the intake closest to the firewall. I was unable to get a photo of it though...Would this be a big concern for the plenum gasket? Could it be oil from the PCV?

Really stumped on this...
