Just wondering if anyone has ever put a 2nd gen grill guard on a 1st gen Dakota. Will it fit? Any alterations? Or is the curve of the grill even compatible? I found one for really cheap and was wondering if it was even worth looking at. Thanks for any comments.

 

With some tools and a little fabrication skill, you can make almost anything fit anything. I doubt this would be a bolt-on job, but it probably wouldn't be a ton of work, either. If you decide to give it a shot, let us know how it goes.

 

If it is a stock grille guard, I would recommend some improvements to help from breaking the plastic brackets.

 

Dang. Im even throwing a grill guard with headlight guards into the scrap for a 1st Gen. Too bad you weren't closer. I'd give it to you.
