driver door

Default driver door

I have a 1995 Dakota and I can open the driver door from the inside but it wont open from the outside, can someone please tell me the part that I need to fix this problem? thanks

The factory service manual first for the body manual portions *grins*

Sounds like the handle assembly itself, or it could be the linkage rod attachment broken. Hard to say until you get in there and check it out.

Pay attention to the door handle (part # 12), the latch parts (# 13 and 14), and how the interconnect (which isn't shown by this diagram, but knowing what parts you're looking for, it should be easier to spot inside the door.)

As an aid, you CAN take the inner panel off the passenger door and see what's not a mirror image between the two.
