i have a 1993 dakota automatic and after i put the 2'' body lift on my 4x4 lever is barely in the cab do they make an extension for this or does it just have to stay like that?
yea I used a piece of threaded rod and a coupler, relocated it higher, otherwise the shifter handle hits the trim and can pop it in and out of 2wd (remember its tight against and reving tourque causes movement.. )
also the gear shifter linkage needs lengthening if haven't already done .. then redrill bumper brackets 2 inches higher to relocate bumper higher and so on.. lol
ya i just did the front so far had a hell of a time getting those little rubber grommets things in for the shift linkage so does the **** just screw off and i can attach something there or do i have to do it somewhere else?
yea just screws off... when doing the box make sure u just loosen one side but don't remove bolt.. cause when u jack up otherside to put in spacers... box will slid off(don't ask) lol
actually in the kit they tell you to trim the plastic but I choose to lift it up 2 inches.. was easy costed me 5 bucks for a stud(threaded rod) and a coupler... my shifter was hard enough to pull as it was lol
i think im just going to get a long nut and lengthen it that way but yea i put on my box today now all i got left is the 4'' trailmaster to put on after i get some new wheels.....
