Default Stalls when hot @ highway speeds???

Hey guys my truck started lurching real bad getting on the highway the other night so i replaced the fuel filter, plugs wires, cap rotor and pickup coil it seems to be better but still does it very intermittent.
QUESTION
-is there a thimble fuel filter up near the carb in the fuel system?
-i do have an exhaust leak @ the muffler could that cause?
-is my crank position sensor shot?
My OBD1 code plug wont register on the reader so no code Dammit
any input wold be greatly appreciate thanks guys

1) Asking about the carb tells me that it's probably a 1987, or a 1988 (possibly 1989) with the 2.5L . Am I right? it would be helpful to know what year and motor (and transmission!) your truck is.

Try doing the on-off-on-off-on trick (turn the key to ON, not start, then back off, then back on, then back off, then on - all within 5 seconds) and reading the flashes on the "POWER LOSS" or whatever light.

Help us help you by stating the details of the vehicle. Year, model, mileage, engine size, transmission type. Modifications, etc.

Default correction

Ok I'm a dumbass it's Fuel injection. Not carb. Its a 1992 Dakota le 2wd 3.9l v6 with 216xxx automatic, no mods other than replacing a bunch of parts trying to fix a dash lighting gauge jumping issue now this stalling issue
New tranny (shallow pan)
Neutral safety switch
Fuel filter
Cap rotor and pick up plate
Air filter
Plugs and wires
Today I'm doing the.crank position sensor
Also my tach stopped working and my battery voltage and oil pressure gauges s are pegged and no fuel gauge and the all jump with my turn signal? My free truck is getting up there.

For the dash cluster, I'd be checking the grounds in and around the dash.

Also, check the wiring "Y" under the battery - there's a spot where the wire from the battery splits into several, and that's prone to failure when battery acid and fumes get into it.

For the stalling - what fuel pressure do you have on the truck?
