I'm trying to replace my clutch. Right now i'm trying to get the shift lever off. I can get the retainer pressed down, but that sucker wont turn. Any of you guys got any ideas?

 

Unbolt the whole shifter tower from the top of the transmission.

 

I thought about that, but then i saw the screws for the shift boot sticking through the bottom of the hump.
I took the shift boot off, pushed down the retainer,placed a pry bar inside the round ended square cut out, and used my hand to bump it loose. Thanks for the reply.
