I never even knew there was supposed to be a hook directly under the transfer case. I never had a problem without it on the automatic, so when i went to a shorter trans and the cable hit the driveshaft, i used steel tie wraps to keep the cable out of the way. I guess I'll have to get one of these hooks next time I'm at the junk yard.
