Default 94 dakota auto 3.9l torque converter problems.

When i reach 50 mph the rpms lower about one hundred and thats about it. ill go from 2400 to 2300 rpms and it refuses to go any lower. Is that a TCC solenoid problem?

I had a similar issue one time. The lever on the side of the transmission was sticking and not retracting all the way. The lever is connected to the throttle body by a cable. I just cleaned all the gunk away and soaked everything in wd40. Now it snaps back. Just a thought I had...
