NO START, has fuel and spark. Getting frustrated.
1995 Dakota 3.9L auto trans
Truck broke down Christmas night, it sputtered and then died and refused to start again. It wouldn't even hit a little. EDIT: I tried putting gas in it too btw.
So I did a spark test, I get spark to all cylinders.
Then I did a fuel pressure test, key on engine off it shoots to 39 psi. Crank it, it bounces a bit and goes straight back to 39 psi when I stop. Holds out on key off.
Then a master ford mechanic told me to check out the timing set. I thought it was funny because this truck has had chain rattling for quite some time.
The cam gear was bald on one side, barely any teeth left. It was so loose I was able to pull the chain off without taking off the gears.
Anyway, I replaced the timing set. I got it all back together and same thing, no start. What could possibly be wrong??
I'm thinking coil? I know they can be bad and still spark but I don't want to guess and check.

What do you meen by injector pulse?? Sorry Im just lurking, nothing to really contribute to the main cause. Maybe a compression check would help make sure everything is mechanically in order. Then move onto electrical?
I'll do a compression check but what could cause that? Its not a blown head gasket and all 12 valves didn't burn out at once.
It has to be in the timing. Yes I'm sure I put the timing kit in right.
Injectors "pulse" electric to work. And all 6 of them didn't break at the same time.
