Sunday I bought a 93 dakota 5.2 4x4 ext. Cab. Has 145000 miles. When i Test drove it, it ran great. Like a new truck. Got it home and took it to the field next to my house and tested the 4x4, gently. Just made sure it worked. Then parked it in drive way. Now it won't crank. Turn key and nothing. Battery works. Got electric. Lights etc. But it won't turn over. Don't even hear bendix pop out from starter. Any ideas?

 

Just because the lights work does not mean the battery is good. Get the battery properly load tested.
