Are the MOPAR heater cores really that much better? I priced the heater core at Advance Auto Parts and it was $35.99 with a lifetime waranty, but I have read they used to have problems. I priced it at the dealership and it's $345.00 , 10 days to get it and 90 day waranty.

I have a 1990 Dakota 3.9 with 210,000 miles that I only paid $700.00 for about 6 years ago and half that again for the heater is just crazy!

Opinions and experiences are welcome please.

 

I have used advance heater cores and never had an issue, probably done a dozen or 2 of them. Figure if you go to an independent shop chances are it's coming from advance, auto zone or oreilly's and I bet all have the same one
