My headlights aren't working
I have a 95' Dakota 3.9L which my son has been driving the last couple of years. I've been having troubles with my son, so I took the truck back.
I drove my truck the other day and the head lights are not working. If I hold the lever forward the lights will come on highbeams only. I checked the fuses and I noticed that I don't have an ABS light relay plugged in. Is the ABS light relay for the brakes or headlights. I'm wonder if he took it out so I couldn't drive the truck home at night?
I had an old bulb laying around. So I tried it and nothing different happened. I was hoping both low beams might be burned out.
For the last couple of years it seems like the headlights was getting dimmer and dimmer. I tried new bighter light bulbs and 3M headlight polish kit....didn't really help.
How do I checked the 50 amp Headlight switch fuse "G" to see if it's still good....could that be my problem?
Some Ram threads was also talking about Light switchs going bad could that be my problem?

So I realize this is a bit of an old thread at this point. BUT I stumbled on this looking for some different information this morning.
Last night on my way into work, I experienced this problem. While driving down a dark windy county road, both of my headlights suddenly went dark. I quickly flipped on my aux off road lights so I wasn't driving completely blind while I fiddled with the headlight switch. toggled it on and off to no avail.
I pulled in the turn signal stalk to flip on the high beams, and the came on, but turned off again when I released the stalk. I drove for a bit holding in the stalk. When I released it again, the high beams stayed on. Flipped the highs off and I had my normal lights back again.
I'm assuming that either the headlight switch is on its way out, or perhaps its a problem with the internals on the turn signal/multi function switch.
I'm going to go with headlight switch first being that my dome light does not come on despite a known good bulb and no blown fuses, and when turning the dimmer up/down the dash lights flicker on and off.
Picking a new one up today on the way home to see if this solves the problem.

Good! Now, add a relay harness to get all that current off the light switch and on relays where they belong.
