Default Module package, fuel pump 1990

Am searching for a module package for my 90' Convertable. The Chrysler part is 52004641. It goes into the fuel pump module and level unit #90314 2900B. I'm in over my head here.Ha. I'm thinking maybe I start looking for a used fuel tank with the unit still in it. My fear is it may not work. Any ideas, I've got yhe tank out and all pulled apart but now I can't find parts anywhere.

That IS the fuel pump assembly from the parts diagram at http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/...category=20311 .

Do you need the pump, the sending unit, or the filter?

Those three are available separately - well, at least the pump and filter are from RockAuto (just not Mopar brand) and the sending unit, while also NLA, can be had off eBay or Amazon (possibly), or for most problems you can repair it.

Ebay or Amazon if you can find it.

I just fixed my old one.

It's not that hard - there's three tabs hold it together, clean up the wiper arm, and make sure it's pressing on the wires without pressing too hard.

So, what you need isn't 52004641, but 52004638 from the diagram I linked to?

(52004641 has it also, but if all you need is the sending unit, may be easier to find with that part number.)

Unless someone has it, since it's No Longer Available from Chrysler, you'll have to fix it.

Thanks R. No, pretty sure I need the 4641(of course). Going over with your thread to discuss options. I thought I might find an entire salvaged gas tank at a junk yard that would still have the module in it. Thoughts? I'll keep you posted. I appreciate the input.

So the entire assembly? That's a bit overkill if the only thing wrong is the gas gauge not working.

Unless the pump is old enough that you're doing it "because of my cousin, Justin Case, because both of us hate our cousin on the other side of the family, Aloyseus Murphy." *grins*

Thing is, the sending unit is high failure - but it's eminently fixable for the early Gen1's. The pump also can be replaced, as the rubber hoses. What's left pretty much won't fail.
