Transmission problems?
The truck was under water on the driver side to give a little back ground info. It's a 1995 dodge Dakota. The truck will run all day if it just sits in park but when you go to accelerate and it needs to shift into 2nd gear it dies and takes a couple tries to start up. Then it will do it again once it needs to shift. What could be the problem? I tried looking around online but couldn't find anything for this specific problem. Thanks.

Does it have the same problems stalling out if you leave it in park or N and rev it up high?
Any "Check Engine" light codes?
Maybe try adjusting the TV cable and the Bands? The front Bands you can adjust without dropping the fluid pan, but the Rear bands require you to drop the pan and drain the fluid.
...and on that note, have you tried draining the fluid and refilling? I wonder if its possible that some water go inside the innards.
