Default pillar gauge pod

so i am trying to install pillar gauge pod with a few gauges. what is the easiest way to do that? i was thinking of removing the foam molding of the dash board, but not quite sure.
i have a vacuum gauge and oil pressure, from a past car that runs no more.

thanks in advanced!

Why mess with the dash if it mounts on the pillar?

cause i need to get inside to run wires and hook them up. constant, switched, ground, headlamp switched and vacuum. i know where they all go, but i just want to hid the wires and do a better job than my last car.

Why not just remove the current pillar, and use the same run that the wires up to the overhead use?

Even if you put that piece back on, and the gauge pod over it, that's how I'd do it, instead of tearing more of it up.
