Default vague electrical problems

Bought my '95 dodge Dakota a few weeks ago. Was warned at purchase that fuel indicator was wired incorrectly and doesnt work. No big deal, I count the miles.
Since then, the dash lights occasionally go away and then come back the next day. The wipers stopped working (yet to see if they'll come back) and the fuse is good. Sometimes one of the speakers screeches and squeels, and then is fine. Is there any possible common cause, or do I have several different problems?

Search the FAQ page for the fuel gauge problem. Find out what the seller meant exactly by "wired incorrectly". These things have a sending unit on the pump and the wires are in a harness that plugs into the pump. If he replaced the pump chances are he put it in with the float facing the wrong direction. If not then there is info on the FAQ page. The other issues sound like shorted wires or bad fuses.
