Car-Part search help
I've got a 1993 v6 2WD ext. cab.
Wikipedia tells me I have a 131 wheelbase.
I'm putting in a AX-15, but I have a stock automatic.
I'll need a longer driveshaft, so which should I pick?
Did I pick the right one?
I'm only looking to replace what I need
Wikipedia tells you the 131 wheelbase, but what does the door sticker and the VIN tell you?
As to which one you need - well, do you currently have a 2 piece shaft or a 1 piece shaft? I'd match that part. Also, check the pinion gear size (that's the "round axle cover" and "hexagon axle cover" note).

Looking under, there are 2 shafts, but I only need one of them to be longer, the one closer to the tranny, and how do I find out my pinion gear size? I'm guessing it's on the sticker on the side of the door pannel?
Look at the shape of the differential cover. Is it hexagonal, or closer to round?
As to the length - no, the one-piece goes from the transmission (2WD) or transfer case (4WD) to the differential as one piece; the two-piece has that sway bearing in the middle.
So you need the two piece set.
I'd go ahead and replace the U-joints and sway bearing in that shaft before putting it in also.
