Default 95 3.9 std transmission need some help if you have one please

Bought a yard truck and it has no brake lights...

ABS light and brake light on on the dash

flashers and turn signals work

checked bulbs sockets fuses switch and trailer wiring...

have an abs sensor on order for the rear end

BUT

When I opened the fuse box under the hood there was no fuse

nor relay in the brake/abs slots(2)

Can you please open your hood and see if they are suppose to be there or are they just 2 empty slots?

Thanx in advance

My 95 with rear only ABS does not have a relay in the box under the hood. Pretty sure I have a fuse though under that dash.

I have an empty spot where the relay would be, but there are no wire terminals running to that spot. Pretty sure the relay was only used if you have all wheel ABS.

Do you get brake light signal at the trailer wiring? When I picked up my truck, my left rear bulb socket was dead from a bad ground and I had to cut it open and re-solder some of the connections. You may need to trace back the wires in the harness to look for a break in the wires, or see if the brake light switch is even working.

I personally gave up on trying to fix my ABS. I put in a new sensor in the rear, ran all new wires to the front, cleaned the ground connections, checked the fuse, all are working, but my ABS computer is saying that I have a bad signal from the sensor.

I gave up and just disconnected the connector from the ABS unit behind the glove box. No more lights.

Thank you no brake lights to the wires going into or out of the trailer harness

Next step is to replace the sensor attop the rear differential and chase form there

both the brake lights and the abs light is on

sockets are all good

Thank you

First thing I'd check is the wires into the brake light switch under the dash. Should be constant power in. If that checks out, plug in the power to the switch, depress the switch and check for power out.
