Default 24 Code??

Hi All, could this code cause stalling while driving?? I have had stalling issue several months ago and found very corroded wire slice behind relay box , dr side fender. Re soildered and has been running fine since. Just the other day, truck died, had to tow home, tried to start, and nothing, (crank no start condition). Waited a week and tried again and it started. Checked my splice fix and it is still good.
Pulled codes and got 12
24--throttle pos sensor out of range
55

Any ideas??

Yes. 12 is normal, 55 means end of message, so 24 is what you are dealing with and since it has to do with the TPS, it could very well cause stalling as the computer does not know where the throttle is. Replace the sensor.

thanks for the quick response

another condition I noticed is when you rev it and take foot off pedal, it will idle down to where it will just about stall. kinda like there is no set idle speed

It's your TPS. That sensor tells the computer where the throttle plate is. If it can't get good info it causes all kinds of driveability issues. Trust the code. It's telling you what's wrong.
