Hard stumble off idle, 93 Dakota
Just yesterday I bought a 93 Dakota with a V8 swap from the original owner. I've found that the truck will die at idle and stumble hard just off idle, but to compensate more pedal is applied and it's hold on to your hats ladies time. Does anyone have a suggestion about what could cause this and / or a fix?
I replaced the IAC as it is EFI. I have replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. When I first replaced the IAC...it ran fabulous for 3 or 4 days...then the same issues. Today I got on it a little bit, love the sound it makes...like a jet taking off....the rest of the day while idling in city traffic it just died a number of times at idle.
If I run it stop and go...doesn't tend to die, take it down the freeway and blow the carbon out and won't idle for anything.
