Your 94 is charged with r12 if you've never converted it to r134. Therefore you can't charge it yourself easily as you're not supposed to be able to buy it. You could recycle some from an older vehicle or take it to a shop that is licensed to charge r12. Otherwise you'll have to convert your system over to r134a...then you can charge yourself.

You can fill the system. You can buy the can with a hose connector for less than $40 usually. It will have instructions. You should get a can with die to look for leaks with a blacklight. You should also make sure the refrigerant you fill it with has oil. I got my stuff at AutoZone but any car parts store will have what you need.

If its r134a then your good to go. As onemoredak says it's easy to get a refill can from the auto store or even walmart. Depending on where you read the changeover from r12 was predominantly 95 but evidently it started earlier for some manufs.

Default Filling Freon

If you haven't replaced the filter/drier, I would B 4 adding freon. If vehicle is over 10yrs old system should be vac down 2 remove all the dirt in lines. JMHO.
