8.1 would be close and really not worth it imo. Fuel mileage is terrible for the power it puts out.

As for torsion keys, you can back the ones you have now all the way down to the safest level where's there's still thread in the hole.

Everything I've seen is LS or Vortec swaps into 2wd trucks. Couldnt find anything for 4wd. In any case, I am also interested in a Chevy swap but I'll likely swap a 318 instead...maybe I'll sVe the vortec swap for my 2wd Dakota which I don't own yet.
