If it were mine, I think I'd try bolting the crossmember in place then bolting a beam to it thru the transmission mounting holes. With the length of the beam pointing rearward it would act as a lever which you could jack upward to try and straighten the downward angle of the mount. Check it as you go to make sure the front of the mounting surface doesn't move lower. I don't think it needs to be perfectly straight, just closer than it is now, as the rubber in the mount should compensate for a minor difference.

If you can tweak it upward, even 3/16", I think it'll work OK. If anything, the tranny mount might wear out just a little quicker, but I don't think it'll lead to anything worse than that.
Okay I'll see if I can get a beam to do that with I tried it actually on the back of the cross member but maybe not enohgh leverage it's pretty flexible. That's good that u are getting the same reading tho

Also has anyone ever came up with an easier way to remove the cross member on these trucks other than with a hammer lol. Myself I've never found an easier way.

Ha, yeah, I've used a friend's spreader tool to make that easier. I don't remember exactly what it's purpose was, but it was a heavy two piece tool with a screw-type adjuster. If you do something like that, spread it just enough to help free the crossmember. You don't want to tweak the frame.

I've always just had to beat them out. Whoever designed that needs to be slapped. I could see how that would be easier but sure wouldn't want to do it much.

Wasn't sure if there was another way. Are there any like aftermarket cross members you can buy?

No aftermarket replacements that I'm aware of. Plenty in the junk yards though!

At the most, I think it might, maybe, shorten the life of the rubber in the mount. I'd look at it now and then, but really I think it'll be OK.

Alright I'll try seeing if I can bend it up tomorrow and I'll let you know what I come up with.

I did get the cross member to bend back up some and it's much closer to being flat where the Mount sits.
